Welcome to Keppel-Sarawak.....Home of the Cougars!
Our school borders the City of Owen Sound and the Township of Georgian Bluffs. We currently have @ 420 students in Kindergarten through Grade 6. Each day we try our best to follow our Cougar Promise by showing respect toward ourselves, our friends, the staff and our building.
We have monthly assemblies focused on positive character traits (respect, self-discipline, integrity, honesty, caring, trust, teamwork, responsibility, commitment, dependability) where we celebrate students in each class who demonstrate these traits. Our local Kiwanis Club has partnered with us in this celebration and recognizes each student who receives an award with a certificate, pencil and wrist band. This is a great way to honour Cougar Character. We also interweave these character traits with the Seven Grandfather Teachings as a way of respecting the land on which our school is built.
Our school community is becoming much more diverse and we welcome the many opportunities this provides us to learn about one another and open our minds to traditions, languages, cultures, beliefs that are different than our own.
There is always lots happening at Keppel-Sarawak. Students of all ages are encouraged to participate in the wide variety of activities that are offered by our staff.
