In 2016-2017, the Ministry of Education unveiled a new Kindergarten Communication of Learning format (formerly called the Kindergarten Report Card).
With each Communication of Learning, educators share the story of their students' individual school experience through student-specific comments and examples of how your child demonstrated his/her learning through a four-frames lens focussing on belonging and contributing; self-regulation and wellbeing; literacy and mathematics; and problem solving and innovating.
These Communications of Learning are intended to provide parents with an overview of observations in your child's learning journey and share evidence of growth in learning in relation to overall expectations in The Kindergarten Program while providing information about the appropriate next
steps to further your child's learning. (Growing Success - The Kindergarten Addendum pg. 12).
