Special Education & Mental Health Awareness

Special Education programming and Mental Health Awareness/ Supports are important to us at Keppel Sarawak Elementary School and within the Bluewater District School Board.

It truly does take a village to raise a child. A cohesive home-school approach helps to ensure student success at school.

SPECIAL EDUCATION: As always, if you have any questions or concerns about your child's progress at school you should contact his/her teacher. Our classroom teachers work collaboratively with our Learning Resource Teacher (LRT) and school administrators to ensure that we are meeting the individual needs of our students. Below is a direct link to the Bluewater District School Board web page for Special Education Learning Services. This is where you can find information and resources to support your child's special needs at school.

MENTAL HEALTH & WELL-BEING: At Keppel Sarawak, we use two specific programs to support student learning and promote a mindful approach to each day at our school. The Mind Up Curriculum and Zones of Regulation are excellent resources that our staff use to plan lessons that support our students and foster a healthy mind, body and spirit. Below are some links to other mental health resources you may find helpful.
